Kurt Röthlisberger

Kurt Röthlisberger (born May 21, 1951 ) is a former Swiss football referee and district school teacher from Suhr AG .

From 1990 to 1994 he was named Swiss “Referee of the Year” five times in a row. In 1993 he headed the Champions League final .

Kurt Röthlisberger was approved by the UEFA of attempted bribery in connection with the Champions League match Grasshoppers - AJ Auxerre found guilty of 30 October 1996 and banned for life.
