Sándor Puhl

Sándor Puhl (born July 14, 1955 ) is a former Hungarian football referee .

He conducted the final of the 1994 FIFA World Cup between Brazil and Italy , the semi-finals of UEFA EURO 1996 between England and Germany as well as the finals of the European Champions League in 1997 between Borussia Dortmund and Juventus Turin . Puhl was appointed world referee four times by the IFFHS (1994-1997).

The Hungarian has been a member of the FIFA Referees Committee since retiring as an active referee.
