Georges Capdeville

Pierre Georges Louis Capdeville (born October 30, 1899 in Bordeaux , † February 24, 1991 ) was a French football referee and association official.

Capdeville became FIFA referee in 1936. At the 1938 World Cup , he chaired the final between Italy and Hungary. He was also used in this tournament in the quarter-final replay between Brazil and Czechoslovakia. Two years earlier he had headed the French Cup final for the first time . Two more times he led the Cup final , in 1942 and 1945 .

After finishing his career as a referee, he worked in various functions for the French Football Association ; Among other things, he was from 1966 to 1975 President of the regional FFF subdivision of his home country, the Ligue d ' Aquitaine .
