Petit-Val ( German also Kleintal or Kleinfelden ) is a merged municipality in the canton of Bern , Switzerland that was created on January 1, 2015 . The municipality located in the Bernese Jura administrative district was formed from the previously independent municipalities Châtelat ( FSO number 684), Monible (FSO number 699), Sornetan (FSO number 710) and Souboz (FSO number 712).

history

The municipality of Petit-Val was created on January 1st, 2015 through the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Châtelat , Monible , Sornetan and Souboz .

population

With 426 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2018), Petit-Val is still one of the smaller communities in the Bernese Jura . The four municipalities were already among the smallest in the canton before the merger, namely Monible , which was the canton's smallest municipality with 36 inhabitants at the end of 2013.

politics

The mayor is André Christen (as of 2015).

The voting shares of the parties in the 2015 National Council election were: SVP 47.6%, SP 16.2%, GPS 10.1%, BDP 9.8%, EVP 5.4%, FDP 3.3%, EDU 3.2 %, PdA 1.6%, glp 0.6%, CVP 0.3%.
