Konstantin Georgijewitsch Syrjanow ( Russian Константи́н Гео́ргиевич Зыря́нов ; born October 5, 1977 in Perm , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian football player .

Life

Syrjanow began his career in 1995 at the Amkar Perm club from his hometown, which at that time was still playing in the third division. With Amkar he rose to the Premjer League until 1998 . In the team of Perm, Syrjanow was mostly used in attacking midfield and was very dangerous for a midfielder (0.28 goals / game), when he moved to Torpedo Moscow for the 2000 season, he was used there more and more defensively. He hardly scored any goals (0.05 goals / game) and was only a substitute player. When his wife jumped from a Moscow apartment building in 2002 and took their three-year-old daughter with her to commit suicide, he was close to the end of his career. Syrjanow, however, continued to play and was able to increase his performance significantly; so in 2006 he was appointed to an international match for the first time.

With his move to Zenit for the 2007 season, he experienced a boost in performance; Dick Advocaat put him back on as an offensive force, and he became a leading player in the national team; his six league goals in August alone secured Zenit its first championship since 1984, in the votes organized by Sport-Express , on the one hand, he was named Player of the Year by the players of the Premjer-Liga and , on the other hand, in a vote by former national players and sports journalists and sports fans voted best national team player. In the 2007/08 season he won the UEFA Cup with Zenit against Glasgow Rangers .

Syrjanow has been a player-coach for Zenit's second team since the 2014/15 season.
