Filippo Galli (born May 19, 1963 in Monza , Italy ) is a former Italian football player .
During his career he won three UEFA Champions League titles and was five times Italian champion with AC Milan , where he played for 13 years between 1983 and 1996. With the U-21 national team of Italy he was at the European Championship in 1984.
Player career
Galli played in the youth teams of AC Milan and was loaned to Pescara Calcio for a season in 1982 , where he came to 28 missions and scored one goal.
Filippo Galli played for AC Milan between the summer of 1983 and November 1996. With Milan he won almost everything, including the UEFA Champions League (three times) and the Italian Serie A (five times). In defense of Milan, he was a replacement for Paolo Maldini , Alessandro Costacurta , Franco Baresi and Mauro Tassotti , these four players were also long-time Milan defenders.
Between 1996 and 2001 Galli played two years at AC Reggiana and three at Brescia Calcio . In the 2001/02 season Galli was active at Watford FC in the Football League First Division .
Galli ended his active career with AC Pro Sesto in the fourth highest Italian division.
In the national team
Filippo Galli played seven games for the Italian U-21 selection .
