Thomas "Tom" Forsyth (born January 23, 1949 in Glasgow ; † August 14, 2020 ) was a Scottish football player on the position of defender .

career

During his entire professional career , Forsyth was only under contract with two clubs: In 1967 he began his career at the then still underclass FC Motherwell and in October 1972 he moved to the Glasgow Rangers , with whom he was three times Scottish champion and a total of nine times the Scottish Cup or Cup. won the league cup .

Forsyth played his first international appearance for the Scottish national team on June 9, 1971 in an away game against Denmark (0: 1) as part of the European Championship qualification .
