The Scottish FA Cup was played for the 93rd time in 1977/78 . The main Scottish soccer cup competition, which was directed and hosted by the Scottish Football Association, began on December 17, 1977 and ended with the final on May 6, 1978 in Hampden Park in Glasgow.
