The Scottish FA Cup was played for the 28th time in 1900/01 . The most important Scottish football cup competition began on January 12, 1901 and ended with the final on April 6, 1901 in which Heart of Midlothian was able to prevail against Celtic Glasgow 4-3. The game was played at Ibrox Park in Glasgow . The Hearts celebrated the greatest successes in the club's history from 1891 to 1906 with two championships and four cup wins.
