Qualification for Uefa cup

The Scottish FA Cup was played for the 115th time in 1999/2000 . The most important Scottish soccer cup competition, which was officially held as Tennent's Scottish Cup and directed by the Scottish Football Association, began in November 1999 and ended with the final on May 27, 2000 in Glasgow's Hampden Park . The defending champions were the Glasgow Rangers , who won the previous year's final which was also played as the Old Firm derby against Celtic . With a 4-0 final victory in this year's final against FC Aberdeen , the Rangers were able to make the double of championship and cup perfect in the 1999/2000 season . In the final, after just three minutes of play, there was a big curiosity that weakened FC Aberdeen throughout the game. After a serious injury to goalkeeper Jim Leighton this had to be replaced; However, since the Danish coach Ebbe Skovdahl had waived a reserve goalkeeper, the Scottish striker Robbie Winters had to act as goalkeeper. The defeated finalist from Aberdeen was due to the Champions League participation of Glasgower for the following UEFA Cup season 2000/01 , and was eliminated from the competition in the qualification against the Irish club Bohemians Dublin .
