The Scottish FA Cup was played for the 34th time in 1906/07 . The most important Scottish football cup competition, which was directed and hosted by the Scottish Football Association, began on January 23, 1907 and ended with the final on April 20, 1907 in Hampden Park in Glasgow . Heart of Midlothian started as defending champion in the competition, which prevailed 1-0 against Third Lanark in the previous year's final and won its fourth FA Cup . In this year's final of the Scottish Cup, the Hearts faced Celtic Glasgow again . The Hearts made it into the final for the sixth time in the club's history. Celtic reached the tenth cup final since the first in 1889 , of which the title was won in 1892 , 1899 , 1900 , and 1904 . With a 3-0 victory in the final, Celtic won the club's fifth cup victory and was the only second in the all-time list of cup winners in Scotland behind FC Queen's Park, which had ten successes. Celtic also won the Scottish Championship and thus the double in the same season .
