The Scottish FA Cup was played for the 35th time in 1907/08. The most important Scottish football cup competition, which was directed and hosted by the Scottish Football Association, began on January 18, 1908 and ended with the final on April 18, 1908 in Hampden Park in Glasgow . Celtic Glasgow started the competition as defending champions . In the final last year, the Bhoys had prevailed with a 3-0 win over Heart of Midlothian , and won the fifth title after 1892 , 1899 , 1900 and 1904 . In this year's final for the Scottish Cup there was again Celtic , who played against FC St. Mirren . The Saints from Paisley moved into the final for the first time in the club's history. For Celtic it was the eleventh final participation since the first in 1889 . With a 5-1 victory in the final, Celtic won the sixth Scottish FA Cup in the club's history and thus further narrowed the gap to the record winner of the competition, FC Queen's Park with ten successes. Celtic also won the Scottish Championship and thus the double in the same season .
