The Scottish FA Cup was played for the 20th time in 1892/93 . The most important Scottish football cup competition, which was directed and hosted by the Scottish Football Association, began on November 26, 1892 and ended with the final on February 25, 1893 in Ibrox Park in Glasgow . As defending champion, Celtic Glasgow started the competition that had prevailed against FC Queen's Park in last year's final . In this year's Scottish Cup final, the two clubs from Glasgow faced each other again. Queen's Park returned the favor with a 2-1 win in the repeat final for the defeat the year before, and won the Scottish Cup for the tenth time in the club's history when they entered the finals. For Celtic it was the second defeat in the third final. The third meeting of the two clubs in a final took place in 1900 , with Celtic winning 4: 3. For Queen's Park FC it was the last final in the Scottish FA Cup . The team remained the record winner of the competition until 1923 before Celtic drew level with ten titles. In 1936 , the Glasgow Rangers won their tenth cup. In the all-time list of winners of the Scottish FA Cup , FC Queen's Park is ranked third.
