The Scottish FA Cup was played for the 59th time in 1936/37 . The most important football cup competition in Scottish club football was directed and hosted by the Scottish Football Association. He started on January 23 in 1937 and ended with the final on 24 April 1937 at Hampden Park of Glasgow . As defending champions, the Glasgow Rangers started the competition, who won against Third Lanark in the final last year . The Rangers were eliminated in the 1st round against Queen of the South . In this year's Scottish Cup final, Celtic Glasgow and FC Aberdeen faced each other. For Celtic it was the 21st final in the Scottish Cup since 1889 . The FC Aberdeen reached the final for the first time in club history. The Bhoys won the final 2-1, their 15th title. With 147,365 spectators, an official record was set for a club game in football. In the championship , the Rangers won the title ahead of the Dons and Celts .
