As the defending champion, FC Falkirk started the competition that had won against the Raith Rovers in the final last year . In this year's Scottish Cup final, Celtic Glasgow and Hibernian Edinburgh faced each other. For Celtic it was the 14th final since 1889 . The Hibs reached the final for the fourth time after 1887 , 1896 and 1902 . The Bhoys won the replay final 4-1 after a 0-0 draw in their first game. It was the ninth cup win since 1892 . The Scottish Championship was also won by Celtic , with which the double was won for the second time after 1908 . The Hibs came in thirteenth in the table. Great Britain entered World War I on August 4, 1914 . Until the end of the war in 1918, the Scottish Cup was not played.
