The Scottish FA Cup was played for the 21st time in 1893/94 . The most important Scottish football cup competition, which was directed and hosted by the Scottish Football Association, began on November 25, 1893 and ended with the final on February 17, 1894 in Hampden Park in Glasgow . As the defending champion, FC Queen's Park started the competition, which had prevailed against Celtic Glasgow in the previous year's final . In this year's Scottish Cup final, Celtic and the Glasgow Rangers faced each other in the Old Firm derby. The Rangers won the Scottish Cup for the first time in the club's history with a 3-1 win. It was also the first final derby for the two Glasgow clubs.
