Vale of Leven FC is a Scottish football club from Alexandria .
The football club played in the Scottish League , the Premier League . It was founded on August 25, 1873 as the Vale of Leven Alexandria , but was dissolved in 1928. In 1939 the club was re-established as the Vale of Leven Football & Athletic Club . The club only played for two years, 1891 and 1892, in the highest Scottish league, but without achieving any great success. The greatest success in club history are the three Cup wins of 1877 , 1878 and 1879 . After the re-establishment, the club won the Evening Times Championship in 1947 and 1970 .
Today the club plays outside the Scottish professional leagues in the Scottish Junior Football Association, West Region .
