Club history
The club was founded in 1874 under the name Morton Football Club, making it one of the oldest clubs in Scottish professional football. In 1886 Greenock Morton was converted into a limited company. The club was a founding member of the Second Division in 1893 . In 1900 he was promoted to the First Division . The high point of the club's history was winning the Scottish Cup in 1922.
