Albert Dérozier
Albert Dérozier (born September 5, 1933 in Lyon , † October 9, 1997 in Besançon ) was a French Romanist and Hispanist .
life and work
Dérozier was a student at the Lycée du Parc in Lyon. He studied at the University of Lyon , passed the Agrégation in Spanish in 1956 and became a high school teacher in Besançon. From 1960 he was Maître de conférences at the University of Franche-Comté in Besançon and built up the Spanish department. He completed his habilitation in 1968 at the University of Toulouse with the Thèse Manuel Josef Quintana et la naissance du libéralisme en Espagne (2 vols., Paris 1968-1970, Spanish: Manuel José Quintana y el nacimiento del liberalismo en España , Madrid 1978) and was then until his retirement in 1993 professor of Spanish at the University of Besançon.
