Sergio Rico González (born September 1, 1993 in Seville ) is a Spanish football goalkeeper . The one-time Spanish international is under contract with Sevilla FC .

Career

Rico has played for Sevilla FC since his youth . On 20 February 2011, he first came to the second team in the 5: 1 victory against AD Ceuta in the third-tier Segunda División B used. Rico has been part of the professional squad since the 2011/12 season . He made his debut in the Primera División on September 14, 2014 in a 2-0 home win against Getafe FC . In the Europa League , he played three group games in the 2014/15 season and all the games of the knockout round, which he played with Sevilla on May 27, 2015 after the 3-2 final victory against FK Dnipro as in the previous year won. Rico has been part of the Spanish national team since June 2015 . On June 1, 2016, he made his debut in the 6-1 win over South Korea when he came on for Iker Casillas in the 74th minute . With this only international match, he was called up as the third goalkeeper in the Spanish squad for the 2016 European Championship in France , but was not used.
