He aroused the interest of the Dutch football club De Graafschap Doetinchem . By participating in the U-21 European Championship in Denmark in 2011, he gained even more attention, but he was diagnosed with a cardiac arrhythmia during the medical check-up , which is why the club waived a planned commitment for three years. Vaclík stayed with his home club and played 16 games after surgery. There were only two victories; at the winter break the club was last in the table.

Sparta Prague

During the winter break, Vaclík moved to Sparta Prague within the Czech first division . After he came to his first Bundesliga appearance for Prague in a 2-0 away win against his former club Viktoria Žižkov in March 2012, he prevailed as Sparta's regular goalkeeper and made eleven games. With Sparta he finished second in the table at the end of the season, which entitled to participate in the third qualifying round for the Europa League . There Sparta Prague prevailed against FC Admira Wacker Mödling ; in the play-offs they beat Feyenoord Rotterdam . Vaclík was used in all four games. In the main competition , Prague prevailed as runners-up in the group, but were eliminated in the sixteenth-finals against Chelsea . Vaclík was used in all seven games in the competition. In the championship he came to 30 missions and again took second place with the team. So he played in the following season again in the third round of the Europa League qualification , from which the Prager were eliminated by BK Häcken . In the league, Vaclík was used again this time in all 30 games and won the double from the championship and the cup. In the league he allowed only 19 goals and remained in 14 games without a goal. In the final of the Czech cup competition against championship rival Viktoria Pilsen , Sparta prevailed on penalties; Vaclik saved the tenth penalty kick.

FC Basel

In May 2014, FC Basel signed Vaclík. He signed a four-year contract until June 30, 2018 with an option to extend for a further year. He replaced Yann Sommer who had migrated to Borussia Mönchengladbach as the regular goalkeeper. He was recommended by Vaclík's compatriot Vratislav Lokvenc , who had played for FC Basel and was a scout for FC Basel at the time . Vaclík made his Super League debut on matchday one on July 19, 2014 in a 2-1 away win against FC Aarau .
