Nicolás Martín Pareja (born January 19, 1984 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine football player .

Pareja began his professional career in 2004 with the Argentinos Juniors in the top Argentine division . In 2006 he moved to Belgium to RSC Anderlecht, where he was supposed to replace Vincent Kompany, who had switched to Hamburger SV . With Anderlecht he won the Belgian championship title in his first season, which failed to defend the following season. In return, the Belgian Supercup could already be won at the beginning of the season, and in May 2008 they beat KAA Gent 3-2 in the cup final.

In August 2008 he moved to the Spanish first division club Espanyol Barcelona for five million euros , where he signed a contract until 2012.

Pareja was part of the winning Argentine selection at the 2008 Olympic soccer tournament in China.
