David Balleri (born March 28, 1969 in Livorno ) is a former Italian football player .

Career

David Balleri's football career began like that of his colleague Cristiano Lucarelli at Cuoiopelli Cappiano Romaiano. Balleri was considered a wanderer in Serie A because of his many changes. So he played within three years (from 1992 to 1995) for five different Serie A clubs. From 1995 he stayed with his clubs for several years and played at AS Livorno , his home club, for six years between 2002 and 2008. In October 2006 Balleri played his 300th Serie A game in a 0-0 draw against AC Siena wearing the Livorno shirt .

For the 2007/2008 season David Balleri was the new captain of AS Livorno, but could not prevent his club's relegation to Serie B. Balleri, along with three other Livorno players, was charged with manipulating the 1-1 draw against Atalanta Bergamo and was charged by the FIGC . After this season Balleri moved to Como Calcio in Serie C2 . He ended his career in 2009.
