Cyrille Pouget (born December 6, 1972 in Metz ) is a former French football player . He was a striker and played in his home country France, Switzerland and Luxembourg .
career
Cyrille Pouget was born in Metz in 1972 . In his youth he played for FC Metz , where he began his professional career in 1992. In February 1994 he made his debut in Division 1 .
Until 1996 Pouget played at Metz, with whom he won the Coupe de la Ligue in 1996, and played 68 league games. From January to March 1996 he also played his only three games for the French national team . This was followed by six months at the Swiss first division club Servette FC Genève and another six months at Paris Saint-Germain , with which Pouqet won the European Cup Winners' Cup in the summer of 1997 . In October 1997 he was tested positive for nandrolone during a doping control and was banned for six months.
In the following years Pouget played for half a dozen clubs, including Olympique Marseille and a second time for FC Metz , without being able to connect to previous successes. From 2003 to 2006 he let his career end with the Luxembourgish club Jeunesse Esch . In 2004 he won the Luxembourg championship with Jeunesse.
