Player career

society

The native Catalan Fernando Navarro first played for FC Barcelona , the top club from his hometown. However, he was never really able to assert himself there. He was originally supposed to replace Barça star Sergi Barjuán after he moved to the capital for Atlético Madrid , but was thrown back from a serious knee injury. For this reason, he was loaned to other clubs twice during his time at Barça. For the second half of the 2003/2004 season initially to league rival Albacete Balompié , which was not a happy one for him with only seven appearances, later (2005/2006) to RCD Mallorca . The Mallorcans also bought it when the loan expired in summer 2006.

In June 2008 his move to Sevilla FC was announced, with whom he won a Spanish Cup and two Europa League cups.

National team

In early 2008 he was called up for the first time in the Spanish national team for the game against France . In the same year he won the Selección the 2008 European Football Championship .
