Hans-Jürgen Ripp (born June 24, 1946 in Hamburg ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Ripp, called "Ditschi", was signed in 1970 by Hamburger SV . He came from SC Vorwärts-Wacker 04 from amateur football. Ripp managed to establish himself with the hamburgers. From the mid-1970s the defender was one of the successful HSV team that was able to achieve both national and international success. Ripp Libero played in Hamburg's 1977 European Cup victory against RSC Anderlecht .

Ripp played 177 Bundesliga games (0 goals), 20 DFB Cup games (1 goal) and 21 European Cup games (1 goal) for HSV. In 1979 Ripp switched to Lüneburger SK and ended his professional career. Today he occasionally plays in the HSV old league.
