Josep Lluís Martí Soler , known as José Luis Martí or just Martí (born April 28, 1975 in Palma ), is a former Spanish football player and current coach . Most recently he coached Deportivo La Coruña in the Spanish Primera División .

Career

Martí made his debut in the Primera División in 2000 for Real Mallorca . In the summer of the same year he moved to Tenerife to the then second division CD . There he played two seasons in the Segunda División and one season in the Primera División, in which he played 35 games.

Since the beginning of the 2003 season, Martí has ​​been in the service of Sevilla FC , where he immediately earned a regular place that he has not given up to this day. He mainly plays in midfield, but is sometimes also used as a defensive player. His greatest success so far with Sevilla was winning the UEFA Cup in 2006 and 2007, as well as winning the Copa del Rey in 2007. He has also won the Spanish Supercup and the European Supercup with Sevilla .

For the second half of the 2007/08 season Martí was loaned to the Spanish second division club Real Sociedad .
