Miguel Pardeza Pichardo (born February 8, 1965 in La Palma del Condado ) is a former Spanish football player .

Career

Miguel Pardeza started his career in Real Madrid's youth . It was part of the legendary Quinta del Buitre in the mid-1980s . The name referred to five players of the same age group from their own youth department who were taken over into the professional squad in 1983/84 and who were to continue the success story of the club until the early 1990s: Emilio Butragueño , known as "El Buitre" ( Spanish for vulture ), Míchel , Manolo Sanchís , Martín Vázquez and Miguel Pardeza himself. Unlike the other four, he should not be able to assert himself with the Madrilenians in the long term.

In the 1985/86 season he was loaned to Real Saragossa for a year and was able to convince right away. He won the Spanish Cup with the Aragonese this season and was subsequently brought back by Real Madrid. In the 1986/87 season he won the championship with the capital city, but moved to Real Saragossa the following year. With these he celebrated some of the greatest successes in the club's history, the third place in the table in the 1993/94 season , the Spanish Cup in 1994 and the triumph in the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1994/95 with a 2-1 final victory over Arsenal .

After his active career, Pardeza completed his university studies in law and Spanish philology . Between 2002 and 2008 he was the sporting director at Real Saragossa . In 2009 he took over the post of Sports Director at Real Madrid .

National team

Pardeza played the 1990 World Cup finals with the Spanish national team . In total, he made five appearances.
