Iván Campo Ramos (born February 21, 1974 in San Sebastián ) is a former Spanish football player .

Career

Campo began his career in the youth team of CD Logroñés . In 1993 he moved to the first team of Deportivo Alavés . After two years at Alavés, the defensive all-rounder moved to Real Valladolid in 1995 , where he stayed for a year. in the 1996/97 season Campo played in his first top club: FC Valencia . After just one year in Valencia, the Spaniard came to Real Madrid in 1998 after a year-long stint at RCD Mallorca , where he celebrated his greatest successes. Since the 2002/03 season Campo played in the English Premier League with the Bolton Wanderers and stayed there until the end of the 2007/08 season. He then moved to second division Ipswich Town and signed a one-year contract. On May 8, 2009, however, it became known that this would not be extended and Campo would have to look for a new club.

Campo played four times in the Spanish national soccer team from 1998 to 2000 and took part in the 1998 World Cup.
