Marzio Bruseghin (born June 15, 1974 in Conegliano ) is a former Italian cyclist .

Athletic career

Marzio Bruseghin became a professional at Brescialat in 1997 . He rode there for two years before moving to the Spanish cycling team Banesto in 1999 . In 2001, he won the fourth stage of the Tour of Portugal . In 2002 he took part in the Tour de France for the first time and finished his best of seven participations in 47th place overall; He achieved his best placement in 2006 in 19th place. In 2003 he moved to the Italian racing team Fassa Bortolo owned by Giancarlo Ferretti .

Bruseghin had his strongest season in 2005 when he finished ninth in the Giro d'Italia and eighth in the Deutschland Tour . From 2006 he drove for the ProTour team Lampre-Fondital alongside Damiano Cunego , whom he helped to win his second Giro. He himself became the Italian time trial champion in 2006 .
