Giancarlo Ferretti

Giancarlo Ferretti (born August 9, 1941 in San Bernardino di Lugo ) is a former Italian cyclist and sports director .

Ferretti was first active as a professional in cycling in 1963. He drove for the Legnano team until 1965, and for Sanson the following year. He then drove for Salvarani from 1967 to 1970. Ferretti finished third in the 1965 Tour of Bern , and also came second in a stage of the Tour de Suisse in 1966.

Ferretti ended his career in 1970. He has been the head of cycling teams since 1973 , a. a. for Bianchi-Piaggio , MG Maglificio-Technogym and most recently since 2000 as manager of Fassa Bortolo . After the sponsor and team operator withdrew from cycling at the end of the 2005 season, Ferretti tried to continue the team. After an alleged offer from Sony Ericsson turned out to be contact with an agent who did not represent Sony Ericsson, Ferretti withdrew from cycling.
