Anderson Luís de Abreu Oliveira (born April 13, 1988 in Porto Alegre ), called Anderson , is a Brazilian soccer player and currently plays for Adana Demirspor .
Club career
Anderson began his career at the club in his hometown Gremio Porto Alegre . The slim offensive midfielder (1.76 m, 69 kg) immediately caught the eye with his elegant style of play and is also a gifted technician. FC Porto secured the youngster in 2005 for € 5 million. The player received a contract until 2008 and Porto secured 70% of the transfer rights. With the club, he was instant champion in 2006. In May 2007 he was signed by Manchester United for € 31.5 million. There he wore the number 8. In 2008 he was able to win the Champions League in addition to the championship with Manchester . On February 23, 2010 , the Brazilian tore a cruciate ligament in a league game against West Ham United and was out for the rest of the season. At Manchester, however, he could never really prevail.
On January 18, 2014 Anderson was up to the end of the season in the Italian Serie A to Fiorentina on loan. For the 2014/15 season he returned to Manchester and came to a league assignment. Anderson returned to his homeland on February 3, 2015, where he joined SC Internacional .
After Anderson was loaned to Coritiba FC for the 2017 season, his contract with Internacional also ended. He was without a club until the end of July 2018, when his move to Turkey to Adana Demirspor became known.
National team
Anderson was named Best Player of the 2005 U-17 World Cup in Peru. In that tournament he scored two goals.
Anderson made his debut for the Brazilian senior team during the Copa America on June 27, 2007 against Mexico . Because of his cruciate ligament rupture, participation in the World Cup in South Africa was impossible. Even before his injury, the midfielder was no longer the first choice for national coach Dunga .
