Náutico Capibaribe vs. Gremio

An incident occurred before the game started. Náutico fans locked Gremio's team in the locker room.

In the course of the game, the referee decided on a penalty for Náutico. In the course of this, the referee had to send three Gremio players off the field. Patrício and Nunes for aggressive behavior and Domingos for knocking the ball away. Marcel , who had been substituted 20 minutes earlier, tried to manipulate the penalty spot, for which he received the yellow card. The penalty could only be taken after 27 minutes. After a player Gremios had previously received a yellow-red card, the club could only continue the game with seven players. The penalty was saved by goalkeeper Gremios. From the resulting corner for Náutico, Gremio was able to start a counterattack, which led to the only goal and championship title. Gremio fans refer to the game as Batalha dos Aflitos (Battle of Aflitos). The story was filmed in 2007 under the title " Inacreditável - A Batalha dos Aflitos ".
