The Amazonas National Championship (Portuguese: Campeonato Amazonense ) is the football league of the Brazilian state of Amazonas .

The Campeonato Amazonense is divided into the Taça Amazonas and the Taça Cidade de Manaus .

Taça Amazon

  • Here, each team plays against the other in a home and away game.

Taça Cidade de Manaus

  • The teams are divided into two groups of five.
  • First round: Here, each team plays the other one in a two-way leg.
  • Second round: The best two in each group play against each other in play-offs.

The national championship is determined in a final between the winners of the two “Taças”. If one team has won both, there will be no final.

The mode can change every year.
