The state championship of Brasília , or Campeonato Brasiliense de Futebol, is the championship of the local soccer clubs held every year since the foundation of the Brazilian federal district . Alternative names are Campeonato Candango or Candangão , after the Candangos , the construction workers who created Brasília. The organizer is the Federation of the Federal District, the Federação de Futebol do Distrito Federal . Associations from the neighboring states of Goiás and Minas Gerais within a radius of 200 km from Brasília are also eligible .

The record winner is SE Gama from the satellite town of the same name in the southwest of the federal district with around 170,000 inhabitants with 10 titles. Brasília FC , founded in 1975, followed with 8 titles that he won in the 1970s and 1980s. Brasília FC was the first club in Brazil to transform into a company in 1999. These days, Brasiliense FC , which was founded in 2000 and is also privately owned and has won eight championships since 2002, is in the lead and has one more title than Taguatinga EC , which is second-rate these days and which had five titles between 1981 and 1993. Both come from the western satellite city of Taguatinga, which has a population of around 250,000.

The Ceilândia EC from the administrative district of the capital of the same name , which is home to around 330,000 inhabitants, became champions for the first time in 2010, making it the 20th club to secure the title.

  • Round 2: Played in league mode with two legs. Points from round 1 are not taken into account.
  • Round 3: Final between the first two from round 2 with a return leg.
