The Campeonato Brasileiro Série B 2009 was the 30th season of the second football league in Brazil .

The competition started its season on May 8, 2009 and ended on November 27, 2009. The championship was organized by the national association CBF . The four-time champion CR Vasco da Gama , who was relegated for the first time in the 2008 season , was able to celebrate the championship at the end of the season.
