The Campeonato Brasileiro Série A 2010 was the 54th season of the Brazilian Série A .

Season course

The Série A started its new season on May 8, 2010 and ended on December 4, 2010. Due to the extensive construction work in preparation for the 2014 World Cup , several clubs had to relocate their venues.

After the season, as every year, awards were given to the best players of the year. At the Prêmio Craque do Brasileirão , Darío Conca was named the best player of the season by the master Fluminense. Dario Conca was also the fan favorite. Bola de Ouro also won the “ Golden Ball ”, awarded by the sports magazine Placar . Jonas von Gremio Porto Alegre was the top scorer with 23 goals.

Gremio Barueri were deducted three points at the end of the season. The club had used a suspended player in one game. The deduction had no effect on the table position, as Barueri was anyway bottom of the table.
