Mariano , full name Mariano Ferreira Filho (born June 23, 1986 in São João ), is a Brazilian football player .

Club career

Mariano played for Guarani FC in his youth . There he was appointed to the first team in 2004 and played until 2006. This was followed by a transfer to Ipatinga FC and in the same year to Tombense FC . Between 2007 and 2009, full-back was awarded to Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte , Ipatinga FC, Atlético Mineiro and Fluminense Rio de Janeiro . Fluminense then signed him and Mariano became Brazilian champions for the first time in his career in 2010.

He played a total of 70 league games and scored four goals. In January 2012 he moved to Europe . Mariano moved to France to Girondins Bordeaux for 3 million euros . In the 2012/13 season he won the French Cup there. After three years in Bordeaux, he went to Spain for Sevilla FC in the summer of 2015 . In his first season for Sevilla FC, he won his biggest club title to date, the UEFA Europa League .

On July 17, 2017, Mariano moved to Galatasaray Istanbul , where he signed a three-year contract. Galatasaray paid € 4 million for the full-back. Mariano left the yellow-reds in summer 2020 . In three years for Galatasaray Istanbul, the right full-back was twice Turkish champion and one cup and one Supercup winner.
