José Reinaldo de Lima (born January 11, 1957 in Ponte Nova ), known by his stage name Reinaldo , is a former Brazilian football player .

Athletic career

Reinaldo played thirty games for Brazil between July 1975 and May 1985 and scored eleven goals. The striker took part in the 1978 World Cup in Argentina , where he scored against Sweden. He scored in a qualifier for the 1982 World Cup in Spain , but did not take part in that tournament due to an injury.

Records

Reinaldo played a. a. for Club Atlético Mineiro and still holds the club record with 255 goals. In the 1977 season of the first Brazilian league, he managed a record for this league with an average of 1.55 goals per game. He won the state championship of Minas Gerais eight times.
