Paulo César Vieira Rosa , called Paulinho McLaren , (born July 28, 1963 in Igaraçu do Tietê , São Paulo ) is a football coach and former Brazilian football player .

Career

player

At the beginning of his career, Paulinho McLaren went through various second- and third-rate clubs in the state of São Paulo before his first commitment by a first division club (Athletico Paranaense) at the age of 26. Further club changes brought him to FC Santos, where he was crowned top scorer in the Brazilian championship in 1991 . These successes prompted FC Porto to sign the player. He was able to win his first two titles here, but had to move back to Brazil after just one year. This was followed by stops at top-class clubs and short stays in Japan and the USA . In 1999 he ended his playing career.

Trainer

In 2008 acted as the coach of the U-17 team of the Rio Claro Futebol Clube from São Paulo . In the same year he took over the professional team. This was followed by commitments by various lower-class Brazilian clubs and one by Al Ta'ee in Saudi Arabia .
