The Campeonato Brasileiro Série A 2014 was the 58th season of the Brazilian Série A .

Season course

The 2014 season of the Série A started on April 19 and ended on December 7 of the same year. During the rest of June until mid-July of the year, the league was inactive, as the 2014 World Cup was being held at the same time .

Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte was able to secure his fourth Brazilian championship ahead of schedule on the 36th match day . After the season, as every year, awards were given to the best players of the year. As in 2013, Éverton Ribeiro was named the best player of the season by the master Cruzeiro at the Prêmio Craque do Brasileirão . The fans' favorite was Rogério Ceni of São Paulo FC . Ricardo Goulart from Cruzeiro EC won the “ Golden Ball ”, awarded by the sports magazine Placar . Fred von Fluminense was the top scorer with 18 goals.
