The hearing was set for November 30th in Zurich . In December, FIFA suspended Guerrero for one year. On December 20, the ban was shortened to half a year. The CAS sentenced Guerrero to a total suspension of 14 months in May 2018, meaning that Guerrero would have missed the 2018 World Cup in Russia. On the other hand, Guerrero moved to the Swiss federal court . The court ruled at the end of May that the ban would be temporarily suspended pending a decision.
