The first round match on February 12, 2019 between AA Aparecidense and AA Ponte Preta originally 1-0 for Aparecidense , which moved into the second round. In this he should meet the Bragantino Clube do Pará on February 27, 2019 . Due to a decision of February 22, 2019 by the Brazilian Sports Court Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva (STJD), with five to four votes, the result of the game between Aparecidense and Ponte Preta was annulled. In the opinion of the arbitration board, the referee had falsely denied a goal from Ponte Preta . The STJD had therefore decided that the game should be repeated. On March 13, the STJD decided that the game would be repeated on April 3, 2019. Aparecidense missed the opportunity to appeal the judgment, but still saw the opportunity to do so with FIFA. The replay took place on April 3rd as arranged and Aparecidense was able to assert itself 2-0.
