State Cup of Rio de Janeiro

The State Cup of Rio de Janeiro (port: Copa Rio ) is the football association cup of the state of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil . It has been organized by the National Association of the Federação de Futebol do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (FERJ) since 1991. It should not be confused with the Taça Rio cup competition .

The trophy of the 2010 Copa Rio, won by Sendas Pão de Açúcar, now Audax Rio de Janeiro .

Entry into the final of the State Cup is linked to qualification for the Série D of the national championship of Brazil and for the national cup competition, the Copa do Brasil , whereby the final winner has voting privilege.
