The Estádio da Ressacada is a football stadium in the Brazilian city of Florianópolis . It has space for 15,000 spectators and is the home of the Avaí FC club .
history
The Estádio da Ressacada in Florianópolis, the capital of the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina , was built in 1982 and 1983 and opened on November 15, 1983. For the first game in the new stadium, Avaí FC and CR Vasco da Gama from Rio de Janeiro met for a friendly game, which was won 6-1 by the top club from the metropolis in southern Brazil . The first goal in the new stadium was scored by Vasco player Wilson Tadei. Since that day, the local club Avaí FC has been using the Ressacada as a venue for home games. The club has played in the first Brazilian league, the Série A , for many years , but has not yet won a major title. In 2011, however, then the descent into the carried Série B . However, the state championship of Santa Catarina has already been won fifteen times. In addition to the games of Avaí FC, several international matches for the Brazilian national football team have already taken place at the Estádio da Ressacada. The Brazilian Olympic team also played here.
The Estádio da Ressacada replaced the Estádio Adolfo Konder in 1983, which was the home of Avaí FC from 1930 until it was demolished in 1982 and had space for 14,000 spectators. The new stadium now has a capacity of 15,000 spectators. The record setting in the stadium was achieved when the regional club Blumenau visited Avaí FC on July 17, 1988 as part of the national championship of Santa Catarina and 19,000 spectators watched Avaí FC's 2-0 success.
