Copa do Brasil 1993

The 1994 Copa do Brasil was the sixth edition of this national soccer cup competition in Brazil. The Copa was hosted by the Brazilian Sports Federation, the CBF . The cup winner was qualified as a participant in the 1995 Copa Libertadores . The defeated finalist qualified for the Copa Conmebol 1995 .

Season course

The competition started on February 18, 1994 in its season and ended on August 10, 1994. At the end of the season, the Gremio Porto Alegre was cup winner and won it for the second time. The top scorer was Paulinho McLaren from SC Internacional with 6 goals.

32 clubs took part. The mode consisted of a knockout system . Participants were the winners of the 1993 state championships and some of them were runner-up.

The Tocantins cup winner was there for the first time. Again in the competition was the vice-national champion of Bahia. Instead, the participation of the vice-master from Paraná and from Pernambuco was canceled.
