Gilberto da Costa Arílson , (born June 11, 1973 in Bento Gonçalves ( Rio Grande do Sul )) is a Brazilian soccer player who in 1995 was the most expensive purchase of 1. FC Kaiserslautern to date .

The midfielder was committed in the winter of 1995, when FCK was in the relegation battle, for 4.2 million DM transfer from the world cup finalist Gremio Porto Alegre . However, he only made ten Bundesliga appearances and was soon loaned to SC Internacional before the contract was terminated. He has been appointed as a national player at the 1996 CONCACAF Gold Cup in the USA. From July 1999 to June 2000, Arilson played at Real Valladolid .
