The Club Sportivo Sergipe is a Brazilian football club from Aracaju in the state of Sergipe .

history

The club is only seven days after the Cotinguiba EC was founded by club dissidents, making it the second oldest club in Sergipe state. Originally it was a rowing club that had won thirteen national championship titles in this discipline by 1946. In 1916 a football department was also set up, which today is the record holder of thirty-five championships in Sergipe State.

In the national championship of Brazil , the club was represented several times in the top division until 1986. Since the turn of the millennium, he has only been able to qualify sporadically for the lowest division, most recently after his last national championship in 2013 for the Série D, which he had to leave after only one season.
