Abner Felipe Souza de Almeida , abner Felipe for short (born May 30, 1996 in Londrina , Brazil ) is a Brazilian defender who is currently under contract with Athletico Paranaense .

Career

In 2011 Abner still played for the PSTC (Londrina Athletic Training Club) and competed in a game against the club Coritiba . At this game Coritiba recognized his talent and was signed for three years. He made his debut in the professional league on September 18, 2013 in a 2-2 home game against Goiás , where he came on against Sergio Esquerdo . This was his only game for the club. In October 2013, he seriously injured his knee and was out for a long time. European clubs, including Real Madrid, showed great interest.

real Madrid

After turning 18, he joined Real Madrid on July 23, 2014. There he became the second team in the Segunda División B committed. He made his debut on August 8, 2014 in a 2-1 loss to Atlético Madrid . when he was substituted on for Javier Noblejas . In September 2014, he tore another cruciate ligament, again on his left knee. On July 10, 2015, after a full recovery, he was appointed to the main team by his coach Rafael Benítez to take part in training sessions in Australia. However, a few days later, he injured himself for the third time on the same knee. Because of this, he was removed from the squad. Abner returned to the field on September 20, 2015 and injured his left knee again. After his further injury, he considered retiring, but coach Zinédine Zidane persuaded him to keep going. In the 2016/17 season, he made it to league games 21 times without injury.

Estoril

On August 20, 2017, he was loaned to GD Estoril Praia for one season. After only ten league games, his contract was terminated prematurely on February 26, 2018 due to poor performance.

Coritiba II

On April 3, 2018, Abner was loaned to Coritiba by Real Madrid for three months. On July 20, his contract was extended to the end of the year, but it was terminated early.

Athletico Paranaense

Since March 8, 2019, it has been loaned to the Athletico Paranaense association .

International career

He was part of the 2013 U-17 South American Football Championship and the 2013 U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates . He later injured his knee for the first time with the Honduran U-17 football team .
