The Ríver Atlético Clube is a Brazilian football club from Teresina in the state of Piauí . He currently plays in the third highest league in Brazil.
history
The association was founded by high school students whose teachers contributed a jersey set from the Club Atlético River Plate brought from Buenos Aires . The name and colors of the club are therefore adopted in reminiscence of the traditional Argentine club. With 30 championships today he is the record holder of the Piauí state.
For the national championship of Brazil , the club was able to regularly qualify for the lower leagues thanks to its national championships , but never assert itself for long. With his second place in the Série D 2015 he was promoted to the Série C for the first time.
